South Suburban Woman Stole Over $100,000 From Armored Truck: Police

CHICAGO, IL — A south suburban woman is accused of stealing more than $100,000 in cash off an armored truck in Chicago, according to police.

Sharon Carabine-Dierberger, 60, of the 13800 block of South Western Avenue in Blue Island, is charged with felony theft of over $100,000 but no more than $500,000, police said.

Carabine-Dierberger was arrested around 1 p.m. Monday in the 5700 block of North Broadway in Edgewater, about 40 minutes after she stole a bag of money from an armored truck in the area and fled the scene, according to police. She was set to appear Tuesday in bond court.
