Village Honors Evergreen Park Pre-School Director Barbara Fanelli
Barbara Fanelli is retiring as the Evergreen Park Recreation Department pre-school director after 30 wonderful years.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Barbara Fanelli joined the Evergreen Park Recreation Department Preschool Program in the fall of 1991. For over thirty years, Barb has dedicated her life to educating the youth of Evergreen Park.
Barb Fanelli resides in the northwest quadrant of Evergreen Park and is married to Bob Fanelli with three children, Bobby, Julie and Mary, and six grandchildren, Abby, Danny, Delaney, Julia, Nolan and Olivia, who look forward to having Barb around full time.
In fall 2010, the recreation department enlisted Barb to take on the position of preschool director where she managed all preschool classrooms' curriculum along with eight preschool teachers. This was a smooth transition as Barb brought with her many years of classroom expertise to the Director position with the drive to continue to grow our program.

“We thank Barb for her love of education and the passion she brought to our hallways all these years.”, stated Rec program coordinators Karen Sexton, Josie Donovan and Jill Linn. “We will miss Barb dearly, but wish her much happiness, health and luck in this next season of her life.”
The memories continued:
“One of our favorite stories to share is when you are a part of the Evergreen Park Recreation Department, you wear many hats, and we will always remember Barb driving a golf cart down 91st Street on Parade Day to kick off the parade. Barb never said no and was always ready to jump in to get the job done, and we will miss that very much. We are confident Barb could write a book between words of wisdom, three-year-olds say anything stories and just day to day mishaps.”
Thank you for your service and love for our community. Barb, you will be missed by many and remembered as the best.
