Alleged Purse Snatchers Tried Using Stolen Credit Cards: Cops

The purse was taken from a shopping cart last week in a Frankfort business plaza, according to police.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort police are investigating the theft of a purse that was stolen from a shopping cart in a village shopping plaza. Security camera of the alleged thieves has been released by police.

The theft happened at around 5:55 p.m. Sept. 5 at a shopping center near Lincoln Highway and LaGrange Road, according to police. The purse was stolen while the victim was unloading a shopping cart, police said.

The alleged thieves were caught on video at various stores while trying to use the victim's credit cards, according to police. One camera was able to capture the alleged thieves' car, as well.
