Annual Memorial Day Ceremony Planned At Breidert Green

FRANKFORT, IL — The annual Memorial Day ceremony is set for 10 a.m. on May 26 at Breidert Green in Frankfort.

Each year, the Village of Frankfort, VFW Post 1493, Will County Chief Deputy State's Attorney Ken Grey, and the Hickory Creek Middle School band and orchestra partner to honor servicemen and women at the Memorial Day ceremony.

If it rains, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Frankfort Park District, 140 Oak St.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday held on the last Monday of May each year. The holiday honors and mourns those who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. This year, it falls on May 26.
