Back To School: Summit Hill 161 School Year 2025-26 Calendar

FRANKFORT, IL — You may hate to hear it, but summer is already half over, and the school supplies are already returning to the shelves in some stores. In Frankfort, Summit Hill District 161 students will head back to school on Aug. 20.

If you're planning out the school year ahead, here are some dates to know for the 2025-26 school year:

• Aug. 20, first day of school
• Sept. 1, Labor Day, no school
• Oct. 10, half-day
• Oct. 13, Columbus Day, no school
• Oct. 31, half-day
• Nov. 21, half-day
• Nov. 24-25, parent/teacher conferences, no school
• Nov. 26-28, Thanksgiving holiday, no school
• Dec. 19, half-day
• Dec. 22-Jan. 2, winter break, no school
• Jan. 5, teacher in-service, no school
• Jan. 6, students return from winter break
• Jan. 19, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school
• Feb. 13, half-day
• Feb. 16, President's Day, no school
• March 17, no school at Mary Drew Early learning center (polling place)
• March 27, half-day
• March 30-April 6, spring break, no school
• April 7, students return after spring break
• May 22, half-day
• May 25, Memorial Day, no school
• May 28, half-day, last day of school without any snow days used
