Frankfort Man Arrested Following Bizarre Police Chase In Mokena
Mokena police said they have arrested the man who led them on a bizarre chase Thursday night in downtown Mokena.
Police charged James G. Hurley, 55, of Frankfort, with a felony count of aggravated fleeing/attempting to allude a peace officer, according to Mokena Police Interim Chief Brian Benton. Hurley also faces charges of reckless driving, improper overtaking and disobeying a traffic Control device.

Man Accused Of Hitting Vehicle Owner On Head In Attempted Carjacking
Oak Lawn police nabbed a 23-year-old man who they said carjacked and injured a vehicle owner early Friday morning, police said in a news release. Osama Mansur, of Chicago Ridge, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on a charge of vehicular hijacking.

Man E-Biking Across U.S. Will Stop In Chicago Heights: Officials
A man who is biking from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco on an e-bike will stop in Chicago Heights Wednesday, officials said.
Cyclist Gregory Maassen, originally from the Netherlands, is biking the 3,400 mile journey to raise awareness and funds for peripheral neuropathy. Maassen left on April 2 and is anticipated to reach San Francisco by Aug. 1.
Bremen Students And Staff Play In Honor Of Basketball Player Who Died
Bremen High School students and staff came together Friday to raise and donate money for a senior athlete at the school who died in February.
Cameran Wheatley died Feb. 8 after collapsing following a basketball game at Chicago High School for Agricultural Studies. While the 17-year-old's cause of death has still not been released, family told reporters the boy did not have any pre-existing health conditions.
