FRANKFORT, IL — Construction on the new downtown parking lots, located at Prairie Park and 2 Smith St., is set to begin, according to a release from the Village of Frankfort. Plans have also started for playground and path improvements at Prairie Park.
This multifaceted initiative, funded by the Village of Frankfort and Senator Mike Hastings through a grant, aims to enhance parking accessibility, recreational opportunities, and overall quality of life for residents and visitors in the downtown area, the Village said.
