Cops Search For Man Who Fled Frankfort Car Crash

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort Police officers were searching a wooded area Thursday afternoon after a man fled the scene of a traffic crash, according to a news release.

Police were searching north of Lincoln Highway and east of Wolf Road. The man, who was wearing blue jeans and a green shirt, fled the scene of a traffic crash, police said.

Residents are asked to call 911 if they see anything suspicious or if they see the man.

"It is unknown why the individual fled the traffic crash and if they are a danger to the community. Officers are conducting extra patrols of the areas in close proximity to this event," police said.
