Enjoy Movies On The Green This Summer In Frankfort

FRANKFORT, IL — Bored of watching movies on the couch? Head out to the Breidert Green this summer for the Movies on the Green events for a different viewing experience.

Grab your blankets and chairs; the first of the three planned free movies is set for June 10, with a showing of "Shrek," according to the Village.

The movie will begin at 8:15 p.m., or dusk, on Breidert Green. If it rains, the movie will be shown on June 17 instead.

Movies are also planned for:

• July 8, "Wizard of Oz"
• Aug. 12, "Toy Story"

The events are co-sponsored by the Frankfort Park District, Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, and the Village of Frankfort. Free popcorn is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club of Frankfort, and the Frankfort Lions Club.
