Frankfort Election Guide: What’s On The Ballot, What To Know
Early voting dates, races to watch and how to vote by mail.

FRANKFORT, IL — The consolidated election, which features several local races, will be held on April 1. However, early voting starts in just over two weeks on March 17, and residents can already request a ballot to vote by mail.
Frankfort voters will vote on several races, including positions for the Village, Township, Fire Protection District, schools and libraries. Here are some races that will appear on the ballot:

Early voting
Frankfort-area voters who want to cast their ballots early, can do so starting March 17. If you don't want to travel outside of Frankfort, there are two early voting locations in town, one at Frankfort Village Hall and one at Frankfort Public Library.
The Frankfort Village Hall site serves local residents only; while the library serves all Will County residents, according to the Will County Clerk's Office.
Hours for early voting at Frankfort Village Hall will be:
- March 17-March 21, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- March 24-28, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Hours for early voting at the Frankfort Library will be:
- March 17-March 20, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- March 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- March 22, 10 a.m. to noon
- March 24-27, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- March 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- March 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Voting by mail
You can apply directly with the Will County Clerk's Office for your vote by mail ballot request. The first day to request your vote by mail ballot was Jan. 2, and Will County residents have until March 27 to request a vote by mail ballot.
The first day that the vote by mail ballots will be mailed is March 17, according to the clerk's office.
Election Day
Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on April 1. If you are already in line to vote when the polls close, you can still vote — so don't leave!
