Frankfort Fall Fest 2018: Street Closings And Other Restrictions
Find out which roads will be shut down and when for the event. Plus, see when the village's curfew starts.

FRANKFORT, IL — With Frankfort Fall Festival right around the corner, police have set up a curfew, as well as parking restrictions and street closings for the event. Although the three-day Labor Day weekend festival doesn't officially start until Saturday, some restrictions will begin as early as Wednesday, according to the village.
A 9:30 p.m. curfew for children younger than 16 years old will be enforced from Wednesday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 3. A 10 p.m. curfew will be in effect from Friday, Aug. 31, through Monday, Sept. 3, for anyone younger than 21 years old.

Here's a look at what residents and visitors can expect if they plan to attend the festival or simply want to get around the village through the holiday.
Street Closings and Other Restrictions
White Street (from Kansas to Elwood streets): No parking will be allowed from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, through Friday, Aug. 31. The stretch of White Street from Elwood to Nebraska streets will be closed during the festival, from Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3. The shuttle bus to and from the Frankfort Boy Scout Troop 270's grassy parking lot at LaGrange Road and Nebraska Street will drop off at White and Elwood streets.

Kansas Street (from Hickory to White streets): Closes at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, and remains shut down through the end of the festival Monday, Sept. 3.
Kansas Street (from Hickory to Maple streets): Police and permit parking will only be allowed between 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3.
Oak Street (from Kansas to Elwood streets): No parking will be allowed from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, and Friday, Aug. 31. This stretch of Oak Street will be shut down from Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3.
Ash, Oak and Hickory streets (from Kansas to Nebraska streets); and Elwood Street (Smith to White streets): No parking will be allowed beginning at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. These areas will be closed from Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3.
Nebraska Street (from Linden Drive to Sutton Dale Lane); Lawndale Court; Center Road; White Street; E and West Bowen Street; Carpenter Street; Maple Street (east side only, from Nebraska Street to Old Plank Trail): Restricted parking from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3. Other areas will include no parking anytime during this span.
Smith Street; McDonald Lane (south side only): No parking on this block from Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3.
Nebraska Street to LaGrange Road; Old Frankfort Way to LaGrange Road; White Street and LaGrange Road: Controlled access to downtown area between 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 3. Access will only be available to vehicles with Frankfort stickers.
Parade Route: No entry to the downtown will be allowed from 12:45 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.
