Frankfort Fall Fest Parking Bans, Street Closures Start Wednesday
Fall Fest kicks off Saturday, and multiple street closures in the downtown area ahead of and during the fest will affect travel.
FRANKFORT, IL — Fall Fest in Frankfort officially kicks off Saturday and runs through Labor Day, but motorists in the downtown area will begin seeing limited parking in some spots starting Wednesday.
Here's a breakdown of the parking bans and street closures, and when those go into effect.
Wednesday

- White Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - No parking between 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Thursday
- White Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - No parking between 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
- Oak Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - No parking between 4 p.m. and 1 a.m.

- Oak Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - No parking starts at 3 p.m., road closes at 4 p.m.
- Kansas Street from Maple Street to White Street - No parking starts at 3 p.m., road closes at 4 p.m.
- Ash, Oak and Hickory Streets from Kansas Street to Nebraska Street - No parking starts at 3 p.m., road closes at 4 p.m.

- White Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - Road closed
- Kansas Street from Maple Street to White Street - Road closed

- Kansas Street, Elwood Street, Nebraska Street (from Linden Drive to South Elsner Road), Center Road, White Street, Sauk Trail, Old Frankfort Way, East and West Bowen Streets, Carpenter Street, and Smith Street- Restricted parking or no parking from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Nebraska Street, Old Frankfort Way and White Street at U.S. Route 45 - Controlled access from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. to downtown area; access only to vehicles with valid Frankfort sticker
Sunday
- White Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - Road closed
- Kansas Street from Maple Street to White Street - Road closed
- Oak Street from Kansas Street to Elwood Street - Road closed
- Ash, Oak and Hickory Streets from Kansas Street to Nebraska Street - Road closed
- Kansas Street, Elwood Street, Nebraska Street (from Linden Drive to South Elsner Road), Center Road, White Street, Sauk Trail, Old Frankfort Way, East and West Bowen Streets, Carpenter Street, and Smith Street- Restricted parking or no parking from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

In addition to the parking and street regulations, attendees of Fall Fest are reminded that there is a 10 p.m. curfew in effect Friday through Monday for those under the age of 21; a 9:30 p.m. curfew for those under the age of 16 is in effect from Wednesday through Monday.
