Frankfort Man Found Dead In Indiana Wildlife Area

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the 61-year-old man's death, but foul play isn't suspected.

MOROCCO, IN — A Frankfort man was found dead last week in an Indiana fish and wildlife area south of Kankakee, near the Illinois border. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of Lance K. Jones, 61, but authorities don't suspect foul play, according to the Newton County (Indiana) Enterprise.

Jones' body was found by squirrel hunters Friday, Aug. 24, in a wooded part of the Willow Slough Fish and Wildlife Area, the report stated. Autopsy and a toxicology screening had been scheduled for Monday, Aug. 27, the report added.

The Will County Sheriff's Office and the Stockton (Illinois) Police Department have been assisting in the death investigation, the Enterprise reports.
