Frankfort Mayor's Taste of Frankfort Fundraiser Set To Return Sept. 20

The popular event is back for a second year under Frankfort Mayor Keith Ogle.

FRANKFORT, IL — Taste of Frankfort is coming back for the second time under Frankfort Mayor Keith Ogle's tenure, and the event should build on the popularity of last year's event.

Taste of Frankfort is scheduled to take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at CD&ME, 23320 S. LaGrange Road in Frankfort.

More than 20 Frankfort-based restaurants are expected to sample their finest cuisines for attendees, Ogle said. In addition to the plethora of food, there will also be raffle baskets and restaurant gift cards.

Ogle said having so many Frankfort-based restaurants in one location lets people sample some of their favorite dishes, as well as check out some new ones they might not be familiar with.

"It's a fun, lively event," Ogle said. "We'll have a photo booth there, as well. It's just a great networking event with other people."

Tickets for the event are $50 and include samplings from all the restaurants at the event. Taste of Frankfort sponsorships are available, as well.

Taste of Frankfort was popularized under former Frankfort Mayor Jim Holland. It was held annually until 2016 before going on hiatus until Ogle started the tradition back up in 2021.

The event is a political fundraiser for Ogle, as it was for Holland before him; however, no part of the Village of Frankfort is involved in the sponsorship of Taste of Frankfort, Ogle said.
