Frankfort Village Clerk Katie Schubert Runs For Re-Election

Schubert was elected to the village board in 2021 and is seeking a second term as clerk.

FRANKFORT, IL — Village of Frankfort Clerk Katie Schubert has announced that she is running for re-election to the village board in the Consolidated Election planned on April 1.

Schubert was elected to the village board in 2021 and is seeking a second term as clerk.

According to a news release from her campaign, as clerk for the Village of Frankfort, Schubert has been committed to transparency and efficiency, working closely with village staff to make sure government proceedings are properly documented and meeting the state of Illinois’ highest standards of record keeping.

For every election, Schubert has also partnered with village staff and the Will County Clerk’s office to coordinate early voting which included securing assistance from Will County that saved village staff time and resources, according to a news release.

Schubert moved to Frankfort with her husband, Will, and twin sons in 2015. The Schubert family knew that a vibrant downtown and family friendly atmosphere was what they sought for their home. Frankfort, with its charm and multitude of activities, was chosen as the perfect place, a news release states.

“It is an honor to be village clerk for Frankfort,” said Schubert, “And if elected to a second term, I will maintain exacting standards for village record keeping, voter access, and responsible stewardship of village resources. I look forward to continuing to serve the residents of Frankfort.”

Schubert is an employee of Frankfort School District 157C, and has previously served as a Village of Frankfort Land Use and Policy Committee Member, a Frankfort School District 157c Education Foundation Member, a KidsWork Children’s Museum Annual Fundraiser Committee Member and as a member on the Board of Directors, and on the Hope College Alumni Association Board of Directors, Illinois Representative.
