Frankfort's Country Market With A Cop Set For Sunday

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Police Department is inviting residents to come out Sunday for Country Market with a Cop, a free, family-friendly event for residents to have the opportunity to ask questions, voice concerns and get the know the officers of the Frankfort PD.

Country Market with a Cop is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Breidert Green in downtown Frankfort. The event will take place during the regularly scheduled the Village's Country Market, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Sunday through Oct. 30.

The Frankfort PD will have police vehicles on display, and offer safety handouts and information, according to information posted on the Frankfort PD Facebook page.

"It's a nice opportunity to meet the men and women of the Frankfort Police Department," said Frankfort Police Chief Leanne Chelepis. "We'll have some police police vehicles out there for the kids to sit inside and some nice handout information, as well."

Parking will be available for the Country Market at:

• Prairie Park parking lot - East of White Street and Elwood Street
• Trolley Barn parking lot - Nebraska Street, East of White Street
• Frankfort Chamber of Commerce parking lot - East of Oak Street and Elwood Street
• Fra-Milco parking lot - West of Oak Street and Elwood Street
• LaSalle Street Securities Building - Nebraska Street and Hickory Street
• On-Street Parking - Throughout downtown, where permissible.
