FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Police Department's annual Night Out Against Crime event is set for Aug. 5.

The free, family-friendly event is held every year and strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, according to the department.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Breidert Green.

There will be kickball with a cop, face painting, a DJ, touch-a-truck; and free hot dogs will be available for the first 600 attendees.
