Frankfort Mom’s Son: 'When I Grow Up, I Want To Be Like Her'

FRANKFORT, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is a single mom. She works very hard to provide for us and loves my sister and I very much. No matter how tired she is, my mom makes sure we have a good meal on the table. She also tries hard to be at our activities. When she is off work, she surprises my sister and I with a weekend away with our good friends at a water park and crafts at home. I love how my mom is always hugging us and never misses a day to tell us how much she loves us. My mom is a kind person and is very kind to people. If someone needs help, she is the first one to help.
She also helps my great-grandparents. She teaches my sister and I to be kind. We love our mom very much. My mom is very special, and when I grow up I want to be like her.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom works hard and takes care of people. She has a kind and big heart. She goes out of her way for others.
