Get Your Running Shoes on for the 5K Run/Walk in Frankfort

Get your running shoes on for the Old Plank Road Trail 5K Run/Walk.

The Village of Frankfort is sponsoring the event the morning event on Oct. 5.  

The Event Schedule:

• Pre-race registration at Breidert Green, S. White and Kansas Streets-8:30 a.m.

• Pre-race presentation and warm up-9:15 a.m.

• Race begins-9:30 a.m.

• Awards presentation-10:30 a.m.

Community Relations Director Mary Canino said split times will be announced at the first and second mile and at the finish of the race. Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each age category at ages 10 and up. .

Pre-registrations will be accepted till Sept. 27. Download the registration form here. The registration form and checks made out to the Village of Frankfort can be mailed to:

The fee for the Old Plank Road Trail 5K Run/Walk is $15 for those who pre-register and $20 for those who register on the day of the race. All pre-registered participants receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, said Canino.  

Same day registrants can pay the fee between 8-9 a.m. at Breidert Green.
