FRANKFORT, IL — If you love the spooky season, and like to spend the chilly evenings driving around looking at different yard displays, then you can add one Frankfort home to your list.

This year, "Ghouls on Glasgow" has partnered with and will again fundraise for the Maddog Strong Foundation.
Showalter said that they have partnered with the foundation since 2022. The foundation was created in memory of Maddie “Maddog” Grobmeier who passed away unexpectedly in 2019 from an asthma attack the day after her 18th birthday. Maddie inspired many by donating her organs and tissues so that others could live on to do amazing things for the world.

"We knew we wanted to use our display to help others if we could," Showalter said. He said his family saw Maddie's story and "it really hit home with us."
"We contacted the foundation, and it turned out that Maddie loved Halloween, so we were a perfect fit for them," Showalter added.
Over the years, "Ghouls on Glasgow" has also been featured on WGN's Halloween homes tour, and on FOX News.
"We welcome thousands of visitors each year to view and interact with the display," Showalter said.
Prior to 2020, Showalter said his family had decorations in the yard, but they officially named themselves "Ghouls on Glasgow" in 2020, "and that’s when we really started taking the display seriously."
The display features many different lights, ghouls, pumpkins and more, but Showalter said his favorite decoration and the one he is most proud of is the "monster in the box" that he built himself.
"When the motion sensor trips, the prop jumps up and down, the lid of the box opens and closes, a monster roars and fog shoots out," he said.
