Halloween 2022: Frankfort Sets Trick Or Treat Hours For Village

Trick-or-treaters will be out and about scaring up treats from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the spookiest day of the year: Monday, Oct. 31.

FRANKFORT, IL — Halloween is just a few days away, and that means little ghouls and goblins abound in Frankfort. The Village of Frankfort has set the trick-or-treating hours from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, so there will be plenty of time for collecting candy during both daylight and nighttime hours.

But before Halloween officially falls on the calendar, the Frankfort Police Department will host its Safety Trunk-Or-Treat event from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 29 at the Breidert Green municipal parking lot.

The event will start with the E.F. Bucko costume parade followed by trunk-or-treating. Local businesses and organizations will pass out candy and trinkets from their decorated trunks to the children.

  • A responsible adult should accompany young children.
  • If your older children are going alone, plan and review a route acceptable to you. Agree on a specific time children should return home.
  • Teach your children never to enter a stranger's home or car.
  • Instruct children to travel only in familiar, well-lit areas and stick with their friends.
  • Tell your children not to eat any treats until they return home, and take care to avoid any food allergies.
  • Children and adults are reminded to put electronic devices down, keep heads up and walk, don't run, across the street.
