Huge Pop-Up Sale Of Used Kids' Clothing, Toys Returns To Frankfort

The Kid's Closet Connection-Will County will hold its fall sale Oct. 2–5, with 40,000 items already tagged and waiting for shoppers.

FRANKFORT, IL — Shoppers looking to stretch their budget on some gently used kids' clothing and other items will have plenty to browse at a massive pop-up sale in Frankfort Oct. 2–5 in Frankfort.

The Kid's Closet Connection of Will County's spring sale, featuring tens of thousands of children's items tagged at 60 to 90 percent off retail price, comes to Roma Sports Club, 9115 Roma Ct. Items will span from birth through teen years. Inventory will include clothes, shoes, sports equipment, electronics, furniture, books, toys, games, maternity items, car seats, strollers, bikes, and more, the organizers shared. A "mom and dad" corner will feature winter coats for adults.

More than 200 local families have consigned tens of thousands of items with owners Michelle Engler-Brooks and Ann Potorti for the sale.

"For every stage of your child, we have something," said Potorti.

Organizers share a live stream via Facebook each morning before the sale opens, for a sneak peek of items available. Items not sold are donated to My Joyful Heart and other local charities.

A ticketed pre-sale event is set for Thursday, Oct. 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are limited and required for every adult attending. Children are welcome and do not need a ticket, but must be supervised at all times. Get pre-sale tickets online.

Admission to the sale is free (and kids are welcome with supervision) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hours are Friday, Oct. 3, from 12 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday is also "Half-price Day," with most items marked down.
