Kick Off Summer In Downtown Frankfort On June 2
The evening will close with a concert on the Green from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
FRANKFORT, IL — The Village of Frankfort will kick off summer with a celebration on June 2 in the downtown area.
The kick-off will also mark the opening of the summer season of the Frankfort Country Market, which will expand to feature over 60 vendors, according to a release from the Village.
The Frankfort Chamber of Commerce will also host its community showcase event on Breidert Green, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local businesses and organizations will gather to showcase their unique offerings, according to the release.

After the market and showcase, there will be a DJ, hula hoop contests, limbo, dancing, Jason the Bubble Artist, Dale the Magical Balloon Dude and more.
Finally, the evening will close with a concert on the Green from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wild Daisy will take the stage, performing country, pop and rock.

“Come and join us as we usher in summertime in Frankfort, a season brimming with exciting events like Cruisin’ Frankfort, Fridays on the Green, Art on the Green, Movies on the Green, Concerts on the Green, Fishing Derby, Bluegrass Fest, and more!” Mayor Keith Ogle said in a release.
The summer kick-off is free and open to the public.
