Kitten Stolen From Frankfort Animal Shelter

The rescue said on its Facebook that someone stole the kitten at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

FRANKFORT, IL — A 3-month-old kitten was stolen Wednesday from Cache Creek Rescue in Frankfort, the animal shelter shared on its Facebook page.

The no-kill animal shelter operates inside of Alsip Nursery, 20601 S. La Grange Road in Frankfort.

The rescue said on its Facebook that someone stole the kitten at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The person had a hoodie on, and was waiting around the kitten cage until no one was watching and then hurried out of the store holding their arm against their middle, the rescue said. The person drove away in a silver car, and turned left onto La Grange Road.

"So, this is your chance to do the right thing and bring the kitten back. If you know the person who suddenly has this kitten, you can contact us anonymously through our Facebook page, but we will go to the authorities if the kitten is not brought back," the business said.

Patch has reached out to the shelter via email but has not yet received a response.
