Lighting Of The Green Set For Dec. 4 In Frankfort
The festive event features visits with Santa, hot cocoa, cookies and the big countdown to light up downtown Frankfort.
FRANKFORT, IL — It's hard to believe, but the holiday season is almost here. In Frankfort, the Village is set to celebrate with its annual Lighting of the Green.
This year's event will be held on Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m., at Breidert Green.
The Village said the free, family-friendly event will offer visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, music from the Hickory Creek Middle School choir and Lincoln-Way East Madrigals, and the countdown to light up downtown Frankfort.

There will be complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, and you will also be able to snap photos with decorated police, fire and public works vehicles, the Village shared.
