Lincoln-Way East Boys Basketball Advance To First Round Of Sectionals
Lincoln-Way East will play Joliet West on Tuesday.
FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way Easts boys basketball team will face Joliet West on Tuesday in the first round of sectional competition.
Head basketball coach Rich Kolimas told Patch that the boys team defeated Neuqua Valley on Friday night, 50-48, on a buzzer-beater from senior Kaiden Ross. He added that George Bellevue and Kyle Olagbegi also each had 15 points in the victory.
Friday's win made regional champions of the Lincoln-Way East team.

"The Griffins are 26-5 heading into tomorrow night's sectional contest vs. No. 1 seed, Joliet West," Kolimas said.
Tuesday's game will be held at 7 p.m., and the winner of the match-up will advance to the final round of sectional competition against the winner of Bolingbrook and Oswego East High School on Friday.
