Lincoln-Way East Boys' Soccer Advances To First Round Of Sectionals

Lincoln-Way East will play Andrew on Tuesday.

FRANKFORT, IL — Boys' soccer teams across the state are making their way through regional and sectional competition play as the IHSA state championships are planned Nov. 7-9.

The Lincoln-Way East High School boys' soccer team has advanced to the first round of sectionals, which will be played on Tuesday, against Andrew High School.

Head Coach Matthew Ribbens' team defeated Calumet City, 2-0, earning a Class 3A regional championship on Saturday. Lincoln-Way East also defeated Homewood-Flossmoor, 7-0, in the first round of regionals, according to IHSA.

The winner of the game on Tuesday will move on to the sectional championships and face the winner of the Lockport vs. Lincoln-Way Central match-up.
