Lincoln-Way East Boys' Soccer Advances To Sectional Championship

Lincoln-Way East will play Lockport on Saturday in the sectional championship game.

FRANKFORT, IL — Boys' soccer teams across the state are making their way through sectional competition play as the IHSA state championships are planned for Nov. 7-9.

The Lincoln-Way East High School boys' soccer team has advanced to the sectional championships, which will be played on Saturday, against Lockport Township High School.

Head Coach Matthew Ribbens' team defeated Andrew, 2-1, on Tuesday, advancing to the sectional championship game. Lincoln-Way East also defeated Calumet City on Oct. 26, earning a Class 3A regional championship, according to IHSA.

The winner of the game on Saturday will move on to the super-sectional and face the winner of the Morton vs. Hinsdale Central match-up.
