Lincoln-Way East Boys' Soccer Team Advances To Regional Championship

The Lincoln-Way East High School boys' soccer team will play Thornton Fractional North on Saturday.

FRANKFORT, IL — Boys' soccer teams across the state are making their way through regional and sectional competition play as the IHSA state championships are planned Nov. 7-9.

The Lincoln-Way East High School boys' soccer team has advanced to the regional championship game, which will be played on Saturday, against Thornton Fractional North.

Head Coach Matthew Ribbens' team defeated Homewood-Flossmoor, 7-0, in the first round of regional play. Thornton Fractional North defeated Marist 3-1 to advance to play Lincoln-Way East, according to IHSA.

The winner of the game on Saturday will move on to the Joliet West Sectional and face the winner of the Tinley Park regional competition on Oct. 29.
