Lincoln-Way East Football Advances To First Round Of Playoffs

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East High School's football team has advanced to the first round of the IHSA Class 8A playoffs.

Lincoln-Way East is seeded no. 2, and will go up against no. 31 seed Taft during this weekend's match-up. The game will be played at Lincoln-Way East, at 6 p.m. on Friday.

Lincoln-Way East just finished an undefeated 9-0 regular season; Taft has a 4-5 record. East finished second in Class 8A last year.

The winner of the Lincoln-Way East, Taft match-up will face the winner of Sandburg and Minooka in the second round of the playoffs.
