Lincoln-Way East Football Moves On To Second Round Of Playoffs

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East High School's football team continues its 2023 IHSA Class 8A playoffs berth, as it advances to the second round of playoffs.

Lincoln-Way East defeated Taft 56-0 in the first round of the playoffs on Oct. 27.

Lincoln-Way East is seeded no. 2, and will now go up against no. 15 seed Minooka during this weekend's match-up. Date and time of the game have not been released, but the game will be held at Lincoln-Way East.

Lincoln-Way East continues its undefeated season, with a 10-0 record, and Minooka has an 8-2 record. East finished second in the Class 8A state championship last year.

The winner of the Lincoln-Way East, Minooka match-up will face the winner of Warren and South Elgin in the quarterfinals.
