FRANKFORT, IL — The Lincoln-Way East High School football team has advanced to the second round of the IHSA Class 8A playoffs after a first-round win over Niles West. Lincoln-Way East (no. 1 seed) defeated Niles West 42-0. The team will now play Minooka (no. 17 seed) in the second round of playoffs at 6 p.m. on Friday at Minooka. According to IHSA, Lincoln-Way East is now 10-0 and Minooka is 8-2. The winner of Friday's game will play the winner of the Stevenson vs. Glenbard East match-up in the quarterfinals next week.
