Lincoln-Way East Girls Soccer To Play In Sectional Final On Friday

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East girls soccer will play Lincoln-Way Central in the sectional final on Friday.

The team has already captured a regional championship this season, with a 6-1 victory over Sandburg last week. Then, the team defeated Lincoln-Way West, 4-1, in the sectional semi-final, according to IHSA.

The Griffins will play Lincoln-Way Central at 5 p.m. on Friday in the Joliet West sectional final. According to IHSA, Lincoln-Way East is a no. 1 seed, and Lincoln-Way Central is no. 2.

The winner of the sectional final on Friday will advance to the super-sectional, which will be held on June 3. The winner of Friday's game will play the winner of O'Fallon vs. Minooka, according to IHSA.
