Lincoln-Way East To Play Mt. Carmel In Quarterfinals Of IHSA Football Playoffs

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East High School football has advanced to the quarterfinals of the IHSA Class 8A football playoffs after defeating Palatine, 55-13.

The Griffins also defeated Stevenson, 45-0, in the first round of playoffs.

Now, for the quarterfinals, Lincoln-Way East will face Mt. Carmel at Mt. Carmel at 4 p.m. on Nov. 15, according to IHSA.

The winner of Saturday's game will play the winner of Fremd vs. Bolingbrook in the semifinals.

The Class 8A state championship will be played on Nov. 29 at Hancock Stadium in Normal.
