Lincoln-Way East To Play Palatine In Second Round Of IHSA Football Playoffs

FRANKFORT, IL — Lincoln-Way East High School football will advance to the second round of the IHSA Class 8A IHSA football playoffs after a resounding victory against Stevenson in the first round.

The Griffins defeated Stevenson, 45-0, and improved their record to 8-2 this season.

Now, Lincoln-Way East will face Palatine High School at Palatine on Nov. 7, according to IHSA. The game starts at 7 p.m.

The winner of Friday's game will play the winner of Mt. Carmel and Belleville East in the quarterfinals.

The Class 8A state championship will be played on Nov. 29 at Hancock Stadium in Normal.
