Medical Emergency May Have Caused Fatal Crash: Frankfort PD
The driver has been identified as Laurence Capriotti, 80, of Orland Park, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.
FRANKFORT, IL — A medical emergency may have been the cause of a crash in Frankfort on Sunday, according to Frankfort Police. A man was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the crash, which happened at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 on northbound La Grange Road, police said.
Police said that preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of one of the vehicles suffered a medical emergency and then struck two other vehicles. CPR was initiated on scene, and the driver was taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Occupants of the other vehicles reported minor injuries, police said. The crash remains under investigation pending autopsy results.
