Nautical Bowls Set To Open In Downtown Frankfort

Nautical Bowls features açaí bowls that are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, plant-based, and all-natural.

FRANKFORT, IL — Nautical Bowls, offering superfood bowls and smoothies, will open Nov. 9 in downtown Frankfort at 5 N. White St.

Owner Briley Birkey is excited to bring these one-of-a-kind bowls to Frankfort, according to a release from the business.

Nautical Bowls features açaí bowls that are gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, plant-based, and all-natural. This will be the first Nautical Bowls location in the southwest suburbs.

"As a local mom, I saw a need for a quick healthy option along the trail. I hope other families love it as much as we do," Birkey said in a release.

Nautical Bowls founders, husband and wife Bryant and Rachel Amundson opened Nautical Bowls in 2018 in Minnesota, according to a release.

Nautical Bowls focuses on nonprofits and making a global different as well. With every bowl purchased, Nautical Bowls donates a meal to a child in need. According to a release, the Frankfort team will also be fundraising with a local organization in the area to raise money to bring water to Malawi, Africa.

Nautical Bowls Frankfort team will be sending five team members to Malawi in July 2025 as part of this initiative.
