Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation to be Held on Feast of St. Francis, Oct. 4 at St. Francis Woods

Frankfort Franciscan Sisters celebrate 800th Anniversary of the Canticle of Creation and 10th Anniversary of Laudato Si'

This outdoor pilgrimage at St. Francis Woods, 9201 W. St. Francis Road, Frankfort, celebrates the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of Creation and the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis' encyclical, Laudato Si'. Join the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart on Saturday, October 4, and renew your commitment to live in harmony with one another, with Mother Earth, and with the Cosmos. Let this pilgrimage be a time of prayer, of silence, and a time to enjoy one another’s company as we celebrate creation. This 800-step pilgrimage will begin in the Queen of Angels parking lot at 10:30 a.m., following 9:30 a.m. Mass. We will journey on foot through "The Woods," to the Heritage Chapel and on to the motherhouse courtyard.
