Short Run On A Long Day Returns For 25th Year

FRANKFORT, IL — The 25th annual Short Run on a Long Day will step off on June 18 from Main Park in Franfort, the Park District shared.

The 5k run/walk will begin at 7 p.m. You can still register online for $35.

According to the park district, the course takes you onto the Old Plank Trail and through the streets of Frankfort. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female, and the top male and female finisher in each age division.

There will also be an awards presentation and DJ music after the completion of the race.

The race always occurs near the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year.
