'Very Persistent' Suspicious Person Trying To Get Into Residents' Homes, Sheriff Warns

WILL COUNTY, IL — Multiple reports have been received about suspicious individuals attempting to sell dish soap and/or vacuums door-to-door in the Beecher and Peotone area, the Will County Sheriff's Office shared on its Facebook.

Most recently, complaints were reported in the Kedzie Avenue area.

The sheriff's office said the person is described as very persistent, often insisting on entering homes to sell the products. In most instances, one individual has approached the home while another stays in the vehicle, police said.

The individuals have been seen driving a blue Chrysler minivan, possibly with an Indiana license plate, police said.

"Please use caution. Do not allow unknown individuals into your home," the sheriff's office said. "If you encounter this person or witness suspicious behavior, contact the Will County Sheriff’s Office immediately."
