Where To See Santa In Frankfort This Christmas Season

The holiday season is upon us; find out where to see Santa in Frankfort.

FRANKFORT, IL — Now that Thanksgiving is over, many families have turned thoughts to the Christmas season and annual traditions. Visits and pictures with Santa are a treasured memory for many Frankfort families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.

In Frankfort, families have several chances:

  • Lighting of the Green, at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 30 on Breidert Green. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and take photos with the decorated police, fire and public works vehicles. There will also be hot cocoa, cookies, costumed characters and live entertainment.
  • Reindeer on the Green, noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 9 on Breidert Green. See Santa and Mrs. Claus; enjoy some caroling, crafts, Christmas market, and two Alaskan reindeer.
  • Santa Photos and workshop; multiple sessions on Dec. 9. Register with the Frankfort Park District by Dec. 4. Visit with Santa, play holiday games, decorate cookies, and do crafts.

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Reservations are encouraged.
