Woman Arrested Twice in 2 Weeks for Allegedly Fighting with Cops

The Frankfort woman was released on bond but didn't stay out long.

A Manhattan woman was jailed twice in 13 days for allegedly attacking Frankfort police officers.

Melissa Saldivar, 42, was first arrested Sept. 5 when she allegedly scuffled with the cops.

Officers had been sent to a residence on Maple Street to look into a report of an intoxicated woman who turned out to be Saldivar, police said.

Saldivar was “very belligerent” and vulgar, police said, and then she turned violent, punching and kicking officers. She reportedly continued to lash out at the Will County jail.

A man named Ron Cloutier bailed Saldivar out for $5,000 two days later, according to her bond sheet. Cloutier identified himself as Saldivar’s ex-husband and happens to live on Maple Street.

Then, on Friday, Saldivar was back on Maple and was drunk again, police said. She also allegedly took on the cops, fighting them until she was carted off to the county jail.

Saldivar was scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday morning.
