• Gibson City Ethanol Plant Eyes Carbon Capture to Cut Emissions (977wmoi.com) — An ethanol plant in Gibson City is preparing a carbon capture project that would pipe CO₂ about six miles west to an underground storage well in McLean County. Construction is on hold until Illinois’ CCS moratorium ends in 2026, and the company is training local emergency responders to handle any potential incidents safely.
