Glen Carbon’s Jason Palmero chairs the county committee that advanced the measure, which could benefit low- to moderate-income families if the state opts in starting in 2027. 
• Diana Lynn Weatherford (centralmoinfo.com) — A Glen Carbon resident is among the close family mourning the passing of 74-year-old Diana Lynn Weatherford, who died December 12 in Hannibal, Missouri. Born in Indiana and long based in Carlinville, she worked in nursing homes, loved bass fishing and puzzles, and inspired a granddaughter’s nonprofit, Madi’s Kindness Projects, which continues her legacy of helping others.
