• Police Rescue 3 From Icy Water After Car Plunges Into Pond In Glendale Heights (patch.com) — Three people were rescued from an icy pond in Glendale Heights early Sunday after their car plunged into roughly 12 feet of water near Roberta and Burdette Avenues. Village police officers Marco Lomibao and Dennis Stachura pulled the victims to safety in 1-degree weather, with officials praising their quick, life-risking response and reporting only minor injuries.
