Glen Ellyn Joins 'Move With The Mayor' September Walking Challenge

Join Glen Ellyn Village President Diane McGinley’s #MoveWithTheMayor initiative to reduce heart disease and stroke by encouraging Glen Ellyn residents to “get up and get moving!” Glen Ellyn is joining this virtual challenge with other DuPage County municipalities including West Chicago, Bartlett, Glendale Heights and Hanover Park. Whichever city takes the most steps during the month of September gets bragging rights!

Sign up for the challenge, which begins September 1, by visiting here. Participants can download the app, complete the in-app registration process and link your smart device or fitness tracker to join the challenge.

MOVE WITH THE MAYOR™ (MWTM) is a collaboration with the National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention. Mayors encourage their communities to be physically active to lower their chances of heart disease and its risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
