Main Street Parking Lot To Close For Construction

Press release from the Village of Glen Ellyn:

With construction of Apex 400 and the adjacent parking garage expected to commence soon, fencing surrounding the Main Street parking lot will be in place September 1. At this time, the parking lot will close until the spring, when the new customer parking garage on Main Street will open. Residents and visitors to the downtown should note the following:

• Due to traffic flow constrictions on Main street with the Main Street Al Fresco tent along with the Main Street parking lot closure, Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Hillside to Duane anticipated through November 2, when the tent is expected to be removed.
• Downtown customers that typically use the Main Street lot should plan ahead to find alternative parking arrangements. Remember to utilize the Park by the Path map as a resource in helping locate convenient parking in the downtown.
• On street customer parking will also still be available on Duane Street and Hillside Avenue.
