New Superintendent Named For District 41
Dr. Jeffrey McHugh will leave his role at Lake Forest Districts 67 and 115 to serve as the next superintendent of District 41.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — A new superintendent has been named to replace Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski when she retires from Glen Ellyn School District 41. The board of education unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Jeffrey McHugh for a three-year contract as superintendent.
McHugh has most recently served as superintendent for Lake Forest Districts 115 and 67. Prior to that, he was District 67's director of teaching and learning. Before starting his career, McHugh earned a bachelor's degree in English at University of Illinois, a masters degree in elementary education at the University of St. Francis, an education specialist degree in administration and supervision at National Louis University and a doctoral degree in educational leadership at Western Illinois University.
"Dr. Jeff McHugh is a dynamic educational leader who has the experience, skills, temperament and personal qualities that fit very well with the core values and future work of our school district," District 41 Board of Education President Dr. Robert Bruno said in a news release.

He added, "Jeff brings to our D41 community a record of school accomplishments and a passionate desire to both lead and advance the work being done by our talented leadership team and staff."
McHugh was chosen following a months-long superintendent search led by School Exec Connect. He will begin his appointment on July 1, 2024.
