Polar Market Set For Dec. 9; Skating, Curling Nixed Amid Construction

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The 2023 Polar Market will bring vendors to Maryknoll Park on Dec. 9, but residents will miss out on Polar Plaza's ice skating and curling this season due to construction.

Slated for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Polar Market will buzz with live carol singing, festive decor and vendors offering artisanal gifts. This year's vendors include:

  • Brainy Day Box
  • Geannina Guttierez
  • Home Grown Gardens Chicago
  • Jam 'n Jelly
  • the mourning after
  • Thirsty Donkey Skin Company
  • Zero Bull Shop

Santa Claus will also be on hand to greet visitors and pose for photos.

One tradition will be missing in Glen Ellyn this season due to the ongoing construction downtown. In an update, park district officials wrote that they "apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding."
