GLEN ELLYN, IL — Freezing rains and slick roads prompted a delay in the start of in-person classes for College of DuPage Tuesday morning.

College officials shared an update Tuesday morning, informing students and staff that classes would be held virtually until 12 p.m. Tuesday. Students were advised to check in with their instructors for additional information.

A winter weather advisory was in effect for the greater Chicago area until 9 a.m. Tuesday. The weather threatened to bring ice accumulation that could lead to tree damage and power outages, according to the National Weather Service.
